facilitated by the approval recently given by the Admiralty

to fit H.M. Trawler "BARNET" as a minesweeper for training

purposes. Short cruises will be carried out, and Officers

who prove their ability to command craft on either patrol or

minesweeping duties will be given certificates of efficiency. I see no reason why the report for the year ending 31st March

1936 should not show the existence of a Force well able to

play its part in the defence of the Colony.

Copies of this report have been forwarded to His

Excellency the Commander-in-Chief and to His Excellency the

General Officer Commanding, to whom copies of the Executive

Officers' report referred to have also been supplied.
